My Review;

I received a pair of earrings from Excolo Design in the mail a couple weeks ago. They came in an adorable little box wrapped in a bow, like a little present! I had no idea which pair I was receiving, so it was a complete surprise. When I opened the box I found this pair of marvelous Lilly Jade earrings. The pair have gold dangle Lilly pad/leaves with jade hanging in the middle. The ear hooks seem to be a dark oxidized brass, which pairs nicely with the gold/brass color of the Lillys. The ear hooks also have one simple small green swarovki crystal which gives the earrings a sparkle to set off the toned-down contrast of the rest of the set. Wearing the earrings weren't much of a task, they hang down no more than two inches and don't snag or catch on hair or clothing. They are lightweight and even though there are three charms to each earring they don't make much noise when clanking together. So far I have not had any trouble with them, besides family trying to steal them and I think the only negative thing I have to say about these earrings is that they probably shouldn't be worn around babies. My daughter can't seem to keep her hands off them!

"Creating art is the most fulfilling part of my life. In addition to being a jewelry designer, I am a college writing instructor, a recovering academic, and a closet fiction writer. In making jewelry, I have discovered a unique part of myself, and I am always honored that someone would admire my creation enough to wear it.

My other passions include consuming media of all sorts, undertaking culinary adventures, and playing dress-up--I have always been drawn to all things shiny, feathery, or otherwise fabulous. Long, intimate conversations with friends also rank high on my favorite list.

I am a fan of film noir, Hitchcock, modernist literature, Billie Holiday, and soul-tainting, cheesy reality tv--the tackier, the better. What else? I have double-jointed thumbs and can recite Lewis Carroll's "Jabberwocky" from memory. I enjoy pugs, vanilla vodka, and "that's what she said" jokes. Math and big business horrify me.

I live with my two cats and my partner of seven years. We will soon be relocating to the Pacific Northwest, and I am indescribably excited about this new adventure."
